2022 American National IBJJF Jiu Jitsu Championships
Fourth of July Weekend was spent in Las Vegas as two of our competitors, Blaine Lopes and Vinicius Tomé competed in the 2022 American National IBJJF Jiu Jitsu Championships.
Blaine Lopes was up first on Thursday with gi and cruised to a victory that placed him at the top of the podium. On Friday, Blaine was in a bracket of three and after his first win, went to the final where he fought a tough competitor and ultimately took 2nd place.
On Saturday, Vinicius (Vinnie), hit the mat running and tapped out his opponent with a lapel choke, securing his place at the top of the podium.
Professor Marcos was very proud of both of his students representing Merced MMA at the Nationals!
